So…what is Slow Jam Cafe?

Slow Jam is not a real cafe. This is a digital space for me to share my passion for food, and to share that passion through photos of my creations and the recipes.

I have always dreamed of owning a cafe or a small boutique restaurant but realised what I love the most is entertaining and sharing food with my family and friends.

I have been interested in cooking ever since I was a young child. Growing up in an apartment in Hong Kong, Grandma was in charge of the small kitchen and no one was allowed to be in there with her while she was cooking….except me. I learnt many things unknowingly by osmosis, by watching, and by being curious. The passion for cooking also runs in my family. My Aunt is the famous Mrs Lisa Fong (方太) in Hong Kong and I used to watch her show on TV before going to school.

I’ve been creating food for my family and friends now for over 25 years, and I have built up a collection of recipes that I will slowly share in this space.
